Using animated laser and video projected text and imagery, the story of the Oslo Peace Accords -which almost succeeded to bring peace to the Middle East in the early 1990s- will be told as an open-ended fairy tale, loosely based on the style of Nordic myths. Situated between myth and history, text and images will be rear-projected onto a ca. 12 foot high vertical “wall” or “curtain” of cascading water that will traverse approximately 100 meters, hugging and adjacent to various paths and walkways. Phrase by phrase, image by image, laser texts and video generated imagery will materialize through the water’s surface, as if the water is inscribing itself.
